We offer garnet abrasives made from naturally derived almandine garnet. We have a range of products made in both India and China.
Garnet abrasives are commonly used in various sandblasting and waterjet cutting applications. As garnet abrasives are natural minerals, non-ecotoxic, and do not contain any free silica, they are not hazardous to the human body and easy to dispose of after use.
Garnet abrasives are commonly used for surface preparation in critical economic infrastructure such as refineries, petroleum plants, chemical plants, shipyards, bridges, and repair yards.
Features
Garnet abrasive has high hardness of 7 to 8 on Mohs hardness and high specific gravity of around 4, so it gives excellent cutting performance and significant reduction of working time.
It minimizes environmental pollution owing to the low grain crushing rate and extremely low generation of dust.
It can be recycled multiple times depending on the grain size. The low rate of consumption saves resources, reduces the amount of industrial waste, and reduces overall costs.
Since it is a natural and non-ecotoxic mineral, it is fit for use in marine applications. In addition, it does not contain any free silica which ensures worker safety.
